What do I do?

Ladies and Gentleman, (and whoever else wants in...)
I am excited to say that this is literally a new chapter in my life, starting a blog that is and I feel as though a young toddler that has just learned to walk.  My energy level is through the roof and there is so much that I want to do and I just don't know where to start.  Breathe...

My intentions for this blog are to share the knowledge, experiences and help that I have gained and continue to regarding small businesses, and how one can survive even in an economy as dead sexy as ours right now. So this first post is really to give a sneak peak into the unmodified cold hard facts into starting and running a revenue generating machine of a small business.

But first things first, a little about myself and the two cents I have to throw onto the table.  I have a background in business from small start-ups like a t-shirt company a few friends and I started back in high school, to a residential and commercial window washing company, and then a dry clean delivery service.  Following those failures, I decided to get some more corporate training at the glorious University of Phoenix where I received a degree in Global Business Management and an education in sales, and currently I work as a Success Coach for one of the greatest culture based companies in the nation called Infusionsoft.  I am a true believer that experience is the best battlefield for learning.  As Thomas Edison once sometime(don't quote me) that he figured out thousands of ways a light bulb didn't work but what mattered was the one way it did work.  Life is about experience, we have to get our hands dirty to become stronger at anything we want to be successful at.  In this position, I work with a number of small businesses on a daily basis to assist them in their marketing practices.  I do this by coaching them to implement the software into their business to help automate a lot of their tedious daily practices. The daily conversations and experience I have received from this daily routine has far exceeded my traditional education because I have a front seat to the action of what is working for small businesses and what is not.  I will tell you what, there a lot of good things companies are doing and some things that just blow my mind!  Enough about me, lets get on to the goods!

I have listed below a list of categories that will be discussed in the upcoming weeks (and hopefully years) on this blog.

Starting a business (What, How, When, Where, Why all questions that must be answered prior)
Marketing (What is working for companies and what isn't...)
Business (Is it really worth it to start a small business?)
Affiliates (What are they and how can I get some?)
Customer Relationship Management (Wait I need a relationship with people?)
Lead Generation (The million dollar question)
Consulting (They are a dime a dozen, where is my diamond?)

These are just a few topics that will be rolling out to take your big dream ideas to reality and watch your bank account grow like fat kid high on cake. My goal is to be as consistent with my posting as my daughter is at waking up at 530am every morning.  I love that girl!

I guess I will leave you with one golden snippet tonight.  I have finally overcome the procrastination sickness of starting this blog. I have done something that a lot of people are scared to do because they are afraid of the unknown or what people would think or would I really be successful? Its called taking action.  This life is to be lived not passed.  Opportunities come and go and only until you put yourself out there and do something you know and love then and only then will you be successful because you won't let yourself fail, no matter what the cost.

Chances are to be taken. Got a chance?

Like its mentioned in the header this is a place to grow and do things you would not normally do and that my friends is how we know as we grow.  I am learning and growing with you all so feel free to request any topic that you would like to discuss!  The pages to this book are still unwritten.
